Our foodbank works using a voucher referral system.
We know that anyone can find themselves at crisis point for a number of different reasons.
If you are in a crisis situation and require food then your first step is to get a food voucher through one of our referral partners. Citizens Advice is one of our referral partners and they have a phone line dedicated to Foodbank voucher requests, 01494 785660 then press option 3. If there is no reply please leave a voicemail message and they will return your call within 24 hours.
Citizens Advice will take some basic details from you in order to complete the voucher. This will help them to identify the cause of your crisis and offer practical other support to help address some of the issues behind the reasons for your crisis. It also means we are able to prepare suitable emergency food for the right number of people.
Once you have been issued with a voucher, we will prepare your food parcel containing a minimum of three days of emergency food and then deliver it to your home address.
