Chiltern Foodbank - Announcing our new CEO
Emma Burgham joins Chiltern Foodbank

Chiltern Foodbank Appoints Emma Burgham as New CEO
The Trustees of Chiltern Foodbank are delighted to have appointed Emma Burgham as the charity’s new Chief Executive Officer.
Emma is a lifelong resident in the Chilterns and brings extensive background in the voluntary sector. Her ambition is to lead the organisation and strengthen its mission to provide emergency food and tackle the root causes of food poverty.
Emma brings a wealth of experience in supporting vulnerable residents, having managed Citizens Advice in Watford and the Chilterns since 2018. She has managed diverse teams of staff and volunteers to deliver essential services and outreach projects. While the foodbank remains a vital safety net, Emma’s leadership will focus on a holistic approach to food insecurity ensuring emergency food is available to all who need it across the Chiltern area.
Emma said, "Through my work at Citizens Advice, I have seen first-hand the multiple reasons for people needing emergency support and how crucial a compassionate support network is for people in crisis. I look forward to working alongside our incredible volunteers and partners to ensure no one in our community goes hungry, while also raising awareness of the underlying drivers of food poverty."
A Word from the Board of Trustees
"Emma’s collaborative leadership style and her deep local knowledge has made her the standout choice for this role. We look forward to seeing her bring fresh energy to our mission of serving the Chilterns," said Jon Salkeld Chair of Trustees.
