Tuesday 5th December is International Volunteers Day.
It is thanks to our volunteers that people in the Chiltern area can get the support they need, which is more important than ever during such challenging times. The resilience, passion, and commitment they show week in week out is truly inspiring.
I am the Chiltern Foodbanks sole, and part-time paid employee. Without our team of nearly 90 volunteers, we simply couldn’t do what we do.
Last week some of our volunteers were out in force at Tesco’s Amersham, along with Mayor Elizabeth Shepherd and Tesco Community Champion BJ, (pictured below) supporting the annual Winter Food Collection.
We are so fortunate to have the support of so many people, who give their time, seek nothing in return, and stand together to help people in crisis. My thanks to each and every one of you.
