Together we provided more than 42,000 meals

Last year we provided in excess of 42,000 meals to local people in need. We didn’t stop there. We also provided support to other initiatives and organisations tackling food poverty, including holiday lunch clubs, community fridges and providers of hot cooked meals.

The recent cold spell took its toll on our trusty, long serving Foodbank van. Our volunteer drivers were confronted with a flat battery earlier this week. Without our van, much of what we do grinds to a halt.

Tesco’s Amersham Winter Food Collection

We, like many foodbanks across the country, are bracing ourselves for winter. From Thursday 30th November to Saturday 2nd December Chiltern Foodbank volunteers will be present at Tesco’s in Amersham for our annual Winter Collection.

A Harvest thank you

Despite the ongoing challenges of increased living costs felt by us all, we were overwhelmed by the response to this year’s harvest appeal. During the harvest festival period we received in excess of 4.2 tonnes of food donations. This represents 246 boxes of food to give to people in our community.
