Food Champions

Help our Communities in Need

Susan Bosher has piloted our Food Champion initiative, by collecting donations from her neighbours at a socially distanced weekly drop-off point at her home in Amersham, which she then brings in to the Foodbank. This localised community initiative is providing much needed food and toiletries for our emergency food parcels for local people in need.

COULD YOU BE A FOOD CHAMPION IN YOUR STREET OR COMMUNITY?

We are now recruiting a team of food champions to extend this initiative in the Amersham area.

Susan says "With Covid changing the way we shop, I wanted to help increase food collections for Chiltern Foodbank. Offering my community a local drop-off point means that anyone can donate food and other essentials easily"

Susan is on hand to help new Food Champions get set up - with top tips, and provision of digital and printed fliers and posters. If you are interested in collecting food donations for the community, we can provide the support to help you set up a socially distanced weekly drop-off point on your road. You will be able to drop items at the Chiltern Foodbank on a mutually agreed day.
